20th Century Fox promotes Gina Brogi to president of Global Distribution

05-10-2016
Gina Brogi has been promoted to president of Global Distribution, Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, as announced Mark Kaner, president of the division.

At his new position, Brogi will oversee the worldwide distribution of the company’s catalogue across all media and platforms including Pay, Basic and Free TV, as well as SVOD. In addition, the executive will be responsible for the licensing of all Twentieth Century Fox feature films to US networks.

Brogi has been with the studio since 1999, most recently as EVP of Worldwide Pay TV and SVOD, where she’s played a vital role in the development and growth of the company’s global television distribution operations. As such, and to meet the growing demands and evolution of the business, Brogi has worked with Kaner to put into place a new organizational structure for the division.

The new structure will unify the licensing efforts throughout all television distribution media and platforms as well as align the sales organization around three major regions: the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. To best manage the business and sales force in each major region, three long-time senior TCFTVD executives have been promoted: Evan Scheffel has been promoted to EVP the Americas; Kristen Finney to EVP EMEA, and Richard Samuels to EVP Asia Pacific, all reporting directly to Brogi.

‘This has been my home for over 17 years and I’m both humbled and excited to begin this next chapter with Mark as we move our organization forward in this ever-evolving global television distribution landscape’, said Brogi, and completed: ‘As part of our long-term planning and with the progression of our industry in mind, we have decided to restructure our organization to better capitalize on our business’.

‘Gina is one of the most highly-respected executives in the industry and we are proud to see her step into this important new role. With her extensive strategic experience and extraordinary sales and leadership skills, Gina will help guide our global teams to ensure our continued successes, added Kaner.

Brogi was slated to step into her new role when Marion Edwards, president of international TV, announced that she would be leaving at the end of 2016 after 24 years at TCFTVD. The executive joined the studio as the director of finance for the TV distribution division and transitioned to the content distribution team in 2000. Before her tenure at Fox, was a senior associate with Coopers & Lybrand Securities, the investment banking arm of the public accounting firm.
