A+E Korea appoints Youngsun Soh as general manager

A+E Networks has appointed Youngsun Soh as general manager, A+E Networks Korea, reporting directly to A+E Networks General Manager, North Asia, Saugato Banerjee.

In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and delivering on the vision, strategy and business initiatives for the company in Korea, including building the A+E brands and audience, growing advertising sales and developing content investment plans that support those initiatives. In addition, she will establish A+E Networks’ presence in the digital space through robust investment in technology and original content.

Ms. Soh comes from Twitter Korea, where she served as market director, responsible for all business development efforts and user growth in the Korean market. She joined Twitter from BBC Worldwide Channels Asia, where she served as executive director after working for BBC in London as multiplatform and portfolio executive for Mobile. Prior to the BBC, Ms. Soh was senior commercial officer of the UK Trade & Investment in Seoul responsible for all the UK-Korea bilateral collaborations in the IT sector for 10 years, and served as Science & Technology Officer at the British Embassy in Seoul.
