Autentic tajes over the global distribution of NZZ

Autentic Distribution, a 50:50 business partner with the WDR mediagroup and the Munich documentary label Autentic (part of the Beta Group), which promotes and distributes documentaries, reportages and factual entertainment for TV as well as new medias and offers editorial support for publishing houses worldwide, has assumed the responsibility of marketing the NZZ Format internationally.

‘1993 marked the broadcasting of the first TV production of Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) on German TV. Since then, NZZ Format, the TV programme of the oldest Swiss newspaper, has become an indispensable, weekly source for quality on-screen journalism’, explained from the company.

The 30-minute productions tend to focus on topics concerning sociopolitics, economy and science but also documentaries regarding the cultural, social, and technical challenges of society have a place at NZZ Format. Additionally, reports dealing with medicine and technology, as well as sociological, cultural and lifestyle challenges are part of NZZ Format’s portfolio. The editorial team orientates itself by clearly defined core values, such as international receptivity, depth, and relevance to develop and create a programme that successfully manages to deliver exceptional works to a demanding public over the past 25 years.

The weekly magazine is currently being aired on SRF and 3Sat. Along with this existing cooperation, the Swiss TV producers have formed a new alliance with Autentic Distribution to secure worldwide circulation. On account of the alliance, the international promotion of the NZZ Format’s catalogue will be handled by the successful marketing company located in Cologne.
