Toolbox and Jump bring video services to the next level via Big Data and AI

18-04-2017
Toolbox announced that UNITY is now pre-integrated to support JUMP’s Data-as-a-Service Insights Platform. Video service providers can now deliver the best user experience with their video apps while providing a complete insights platform for Toolbox customers. This will help them make data-driven business decisions as fast as the rapidly changing market demands.

UNITY is the Platform-as-a-Service component of the Toolbox Unified TV Ecosystem, which provides a fully managed, multi–tenant, secure and highly available cloud platform for services integration and APIs. Using UNITY video service providers can access quality metrics related to content perfomance and end user engagement. It also unifies the user experience across content providers and operators’ platforms.

The JUMP Data-as-a-Service insights platform offers Toolbox clients a set of critical KPIs for the video industry (discovery, acquisition, content, consumption, QoE, satisfaction, and offering) when integrated with UNITY. The JUMP Insights dashboard will provide brand managers and other key video service stakeholders a one-stop shop dashboard where they can view their most relevant video business performance indicators. Additionally, through machine learning algorithms JUMP provides data enhancements so Toolbox customers can predict churn, increase conversion rates, and deepen their customer engagement.

‘We truly believe that cutting-edge technologies will transform video services and will drive them to the next level of evolution in our industry. By providing key decision makers with a holistic view of business data, Jump will help Toolbox clients positively impact ROI as never before’, said Jerónimo Macanás, CEO and cofounder of Jump.

‘These two products complement each other perfectly, bringing our customers a strong tool to streamline their business decisions. We are convinced that better management of  information ensures the success of any strategy implemented’, added Mauro Peluso, Toolbox’s CTO and Partner

‘UNITY provides a competitive advantage that, when added to JUMP’s Data-as-a-Service Insights Platform as an advanced business intelligence module, makes companies understand how ‘good data driven decisions’ ultimately equate to ‘good dollars’, stated Jesús Herrero, Jump CRO and cofounder.

Toolbox and Jump will attend NAB (April 22-27, Las Vegas), where they will showcase their latest demos.

Connected to more than 90% of Latin America’s pay TV operators as well as award-winning programmers such as Fox Network Group and Turner Broadcasting System International, Toolbox is the leading TV Everywhere solutions provider in the region. The solutions Cloud PASS, UNITY and Cloud EXPERIENCE, were designed to cover all processes: from user validation and content management (OnDemand, PPV, and Live Signals), to distribution and user experience.

Jump was founded in early 2016 by three video industry experts who have more than 30 years of combined experience in the OTT ecosystem. Having worked in a variety of video related companies like Nokia, Telefónica, Accedo and 24i, they have the accumulated expertise and first-hand knowledge of successfully launched international services such as Fox, HBO, Telefónica, Viacom, and RTL, to name a few.
