Toei Animation: Katsuhiro Takagi, new president
2012.07.26 | Toei Animation (Japan) appointed Katsuhiro Takagi as president, to continue to build the studio’s international partnerships and expand the company into new markets.
Katsuhiro Takagi has been promoted to his new position from Senior Director for the company. He has been at Toei Animation for more than 30 years and, in 2001, he was named Director of Character Licensing Dept. where he helped forge licensing partnerships on behalf of Toei Animation’s major animated brands.
In 2006 he was promoted to Managing Director until his appointment in 2011 to his most recent assignment as Senior Director. ‘As we roll-out new titles before the end of the year, I look forward to working with our committed team’, stated Takagi.
Founded in 1956, Toei has headquarters in Tokyo and sales offices in Paris, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and representative office in Shanghai. Its operations include animation development and production, and worldwide marketing and program licensing.
