Starz presents original series Black Sails at MIPCOM 2013
Starz Worldwide Distribution lead executive, Gene George, announced that the new Starz Original series, Black Sails, from executive producer Michael Bay, will be brought to market for the first time at MIPCOM, October 7-10 in Cannes, France.George commented: ‘The pipeline of quality, cinematic Starz original series which we have distributed outside of North America has been terrific in 2013, with the final installment of Spartacus, the second season of Magic City, and The White Queen. Now, with Black Sails available beginning in 2014, we have a new franchise for prospective buyers. Already renewed for a second season, Starz Worldwide Distribution brings this series to market at MIPCOM’
The original series, from Executive Producer Michael Bay, gained much acceptance with fans at Comic-Con and anticipation is building for its debut in the United States exclusively on Starz in January 2014. Starz retains all global distribution and home entertainment rights to the series, with global licensing and syndication through Starz Worldwide Distribution.
