All3media Internationals George Gently, in US public TV
All3media International (UK) has closed a deal that allows Acorn Media, DVD and media rights owner, to manage broadcast rights of the police drama George Gently on public TV in the United States in 2012.Acorn Media, that has managed DVD rights for that show since 2008 releasing the first three episodes on DVD in the United States, will now manage broadcast right in that territory for the first two seasons (7x'120).
Produced by Company Pictures (UK) and licensed into 80 territories, George Gently is starred by Martin Shaw (Judge John Deed) as the legendary detective with a fearsome reputation, who escaped 1960’s London to investigate new crimes in the peaceful landscapes of the Northumberland countryside.

The recently closed partnership between the companies follows other deals that include the long-running series Midsomer Murders, which it has released on DVD both in the UK and the US.
