Eccho Rights: first deals for Kurt Seyit and Sura

Kurt Seyit and Sura, the new lavish drama from Ay Yapim in Istanbul, was sold to four clients just a few weeks after launch: Intra Communications in Georgia, FARSI1 in Iran, TOLO TV in Afghanistan and URDU1 in Pakistan have obtained the rights and a large number of additional licenses are expected the coming month.

In the Middle East, MBC will launch the series this week, only a few weeks after the show premiered in its native Turkey. Starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Farah Zeynep Abdullah, the series tells the story of the dashing, womanizing Lieutenant Kurt Seyit - the first son of a rich Crimean landowner of Turkish origin - who falls in love with Sura, the beautiful daughter of a noble Russian family. But Seyit's father has always insisted that his heir should marry a Turkish woman so their love faces many obstacles.
