Mondo TV: Kim won Gaj Tache’ 2011 award

Mondo TV announced that its animated series Kim, produced in collaboration with RAI Fiction, won the prize Gaj Tachè, an award established by the City of Rome together with the Jewish community and the cultural association Ebraismo e dintorni. The jury was composed exclusively of primary school children in Rome.

Broadcasted by RAI-2 and Rai Gulp, the animated series directed by Giuseppe Laganà, is inspired by Rudyard Kipling's masterpiece. The story tells the fantastic adventures of an orphan in India of late nineteenth century, who tries to find its origin.

, president of RAI, expressed its satisfaction for the prize saying that it is ‘in line with the essence of public service’. On the other hand, Orlando Corradi, president of Mondo TV, explained: ‘This award acquires a special value, because it has been assigned to us by children. I share the words of President Garimberti, especially for the social function that the cartoon plays and I thank him and the entire staff of RAI Fiction for the exhilarating experience’.
