NBCUniversal: A strong slate highlighted by Vampire Academy and scheduling requirements’.
With a slate made up of drama, comedy and reality, NBCUniversal Global Distribution presents its novelties at MIPCOM 2022. Vampire Academy, a Peacock Original, is one of its featured titles.Belinda Menendez, President & CRO, who leads the company’s sales team, told Prensario about the potential of its international lineup: ‘We’ve had a great run – our incomparable film slate, now combined with our high-quality, breakout shows produced by all our various production partners like Universal Studio Group and Sky Studios, makes us the ultimate source of premium content for our partners around the world’.
Along these lines, the company highlights the youth drama starring the young stars Sisi Stringer and Daniela Nieves, Vampire Academy (10×60′). The story is based on a series of young adult paranormal romance novels by international bestselling author Richelle Mead.
Scheduled to premiere next November, The Calling (8×60′) is another of the dramas that NBCUniversal presents in the international market. The series tells the story of NYPD Detective Avraham Avraham (Jeff Wilbusch, Unorthodox) and is based on the best-selling novel «The Missing File,» by DrorMashani, the first in a series of books featuring the character of Avraham.
