01-08-2023
The smart home solutions and services provider aims to position itself as the leading independent provider of CTV operating systems (OS) and AVoD/FAST products in the market.

ZEASN announced the acquisition of Foxxum, a provider of CTV solutions, and rlaxx TV, an international AVoD/FAST streaming service. As part of the integration process, the smart home solutions and services provider intends to combine the strengths of the three companies with this strategic move into the market.

The Whale OS 3 and Foxxum OS 4 operating systems will be merged into the new Whale OS 4. The creation of Whale OS 4 will lead to accelerated growth within the next 3-5 years, and aims to grow from the combined installed base to over 200 million.

The acquisition of Foxxum expands Whale OS 4's application portfolio. In combination with ZEASN's AI-enabled algorithms, data tracking tools and personalized recommendations, Whale OS 4 selects content tailored to individual preferences.

The global streaming service, rlaxx TV, will be integrated with ZEASN's streaming service, Whale Live. The merged services will continue to operate under the rlaxx TV name, offering a variety of content to viewers around the world.

Jason He, CEO of ZEASN said: 'We are delighted to welcome the talented teams from Foxxum and rlaxx TV to the global ZEASN family now operating in Europe, China, India and North America to serve our clients worldwide. Their experience and market position, combined with our existing capabilities, will propel us to new heights in the CTV industry. Together, we will redefine the CTV landscape, offer a compelling alternative and deliver world-class viewer experiences. This is a significant step in preparing our company for a future IPO'.

Ronny Lutzi, CEO of Foxxum and rlaxx TV, added: 'The combination of three strong companies will accelerate our strategy to form the leading independent player our customers have long demanded. From day one, we are poised to quickly outperform other independent players, surpassing them not only in installation numbers, but also through our industry expertise. With strong support from the global TV supply chain, we aim to position ourselves on par with industry giants like Google TV and Roku. I am very excited to merge our efforts with ZEASN. It feels like two parties have found the perfect match'.

Financial details were not disclosed and executives from Foxxum and rlaxx TV will assume leadership positions within the newly formed group.
