Award-winning Producer Paula Crickard Launches Atelier 11, a reimagined transmedia studio

02-07-2025
This renaming marks a pivotal evolution for the studio following the departure of co-founder HaZ Dulull. Now under Crickard’s sole leadership, Atelier 11 embraces a new identity grounded in agility, artistic innovation, and creative independence.

Paula Crickard, the award-winning producer whose work includes Expend4bles, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Winter, today unveils the rebranding of HaZimation as Atelier 11— a boutique transmedia studio committed to shaping the future of storytelling across film, animation, gaming, and TV series.

This renaming marks a pivotal evolution for the studio following the departure of co-founder HaZ Dulull. Now under Crickard’s sole leadership, Atelier 11 embraces a new identity grounded in agility, artistic innovation, and creative independence. The name, inspired by the idea of a creative “atelier” or workshop, signals the studio’s shift toward a collaborative, multi-disciplinary model designed to support narratives across multiple platforms.

Atelier 11’s impressive slate spans original IPs like Rap Game UK (in collaboration with Freemantle and the BBC), Moontopia, and Prisoners of Paradise, a co-production with AMG International.  Atelier 11 also collaborated on acclaimed projects like La Bohème, Deadline, and in-game cinematics for Dune Awakening. The company developed Galaxy Dance, a hybrid live action / animation for BBC Three, and has MODS, an upcoming comedy series and Fortnite game in development. The studio has worked with others partners such as Funcom and Finite Films.

'Atelier 11 reflects our growth, our ambition, and our belief in bold, boundary-pushing storytelling', says Crickard. 'It draws from the spirit of Warhol’s Factory — a place where art, media, and culture intersected in unexpected ways. We're building something global in scale, but intimate in its creative heart'.

In parallel with the rebrand, Crickard will continue her work as Vice Chair of the Production Guild of Great Britain Committee (Northern Ireland) and as one of the WIFTV Fearless Leaders Cohort 2024. She actively champions diversity and sustainability in production. Her recent role as Artistic Director of the British Urban Film Festival 2023 underscores her dedication to supporting new talent and amplifying underrepresented voices — especially women in post-production, gaming, and technology.

The relaunch includes a refreshed visual identity and updated digital presence — all part of Crickard’s long-term vision to establish Atelier 11 as a world-renowned, world-building creative hub.
