The former Yellow Bird executive will lead a newly established division focused on premium English-language projects and local-language content for European, Latin American, and MENA markets.

OGM Pictures has announced the appointment of veteran producer Berna Levin as Head of International Production. This strategic move is designed to accelerate the company’s presence in the global scripted market and marks the formal launch of its international arm.

In her new capacity, Levin will collaborate directly with OGM Pictures founder Onur Güvenatam to oversee the development and growth of this new division. The unit is dedicated to the production of premium international series and feature films, leveraging OGM’s established reputation as a leading exporter of high-end Turkish drama.

The division's primary objectives include:

English-Language Production: Developing a slate for the U.S. and U.K. markets.

Regional Growth: Creating local-language series and films across Europe, Latin America, and the MENA region.

Narrative Focus: Prioritizing elevated, character-driven stories with high cross-border appeal.

The appointment of Levin signals a significant transition for OGM Pictures as it moves beyond traditional distribution into global co-productions and original international IP. By focusing on a curated selection of high-end projects, the company aims to bridge the gap between regional storytelling and global demand for premium content.

Berna Levin brings extensive experience in high-end international drama to the role, a background that is expected to be instrumental in navigating the complexities of the U.S. and European production landscapes. This expansion solidifies OGM’s commitment to becoming a major player in the worldwide audiovisual industry.

'OGM Pictures has demonstrated that deeply emotional, culturally specific storytelling can travel anywhere', Levin said. 'Onur and his team have built one of the most dynamic creative engines in the region, and the opportunity to join forces with them at this moment of expansion into other territories is incredibly exciting. In a moment when the world feels unsettled, audiences are gravitating toward distinctive, well-crafted stories that help them connect and make sense of things. OGM Pictures consistently delivers work that speaks to that need with precision and emotional depth, and I’m looking forward to taking that strength into new territories'.

OGM Pictures’ strategy includes forging long-term alliances with global talent, producers, regional broadcasters, and international streamers. The division will also pursue innovative financing structures that allow the company to originate and co-own premium IP with broad international appeal. A key component will be expanding OGM’s co-production partnerships, integrating creative and financial resources from multiple territories, and shaping projects with global audiences in mind from the earliest stages of development.

Güvenatam highlighted the strategic importance of Levin’s appointment: 'Berna’s experience in developing and producing ambitious, internationally driven projects makes her uniquely suited for this role', he said. 'Her grounding in Turkish culture, combined with her deep experience in international markets, gives her a rare ability to bridge perspectives. Together, we’re building a slate that reflects OGM Pictures' creative identity while positioning us as a major partner for global co-productions. We aim to work with leading creative voices around the world and deliver series and films that resonate far beyond any single market'
