CAKE and Mandai X partner on animated action-adventure series Ranger Buddies

Leading kids' entertainment specialist CAKE and Singapore’s Mandai X,  the venture-building and impact acceleration arm of Mandai Wildlife Group, have announced a partnership on a brand new animated action adventure series Ranger Buddies.

Produced by CAKE, this animated action-adventure series extends Ranger Buddies – Mandai X’s award-winning edutainment brand – into long-form animation for the first time.  The series also takes inspiration from the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Singapore’s wildlife and nature destination, home to zoos like Bird Paradise, Rainforest Wild Adventure, Night Safari, River Wonders and Singapore Zoo.  

Currently in production, the 26 x 11’ series aimed at 4-6 year olds will premiere on Mediacorp in Singapore.

Set in the vibrant island world of Mandaria, Ranger Buddies follows best friends Min and Al, two young explorers who spring into action whenever their community needs them, while protecting the incredible animals that call it home. Whether something needs fixing, a problem needs solving or a neighbour needs a helping hand, each mission sees them teaming up with their animal buddies to make Mandaria an even better place. 

Through action-packed stories that blend adventure, comedy, and discovery, Ranger Buddies celebrates teamwork, kindness and care for the natural world, showing young audiences how small, positive actions can drive big change for people, wildlife and the planet.
