CJ ENM highlights three highly anticipated K-drama titles at Busan Content Market 2026
The South Korean entertainment conglomerate unveiled its premium scripted slate for the second half of the year during the industry market in Busan. The lineup features webtoon adaptations, office dramas, and romantic comedies starring established domestic talent.South Korean media and entertainment powerhouse CJ ENM commenced its commercial showcase at the Busan Content Market (BCM) 2026 today, presenting its upcoming television slate to international buyers. Operating from the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) from June 10 to June 12, the company's distribution division is leveraging the regional market to pitch three distinct scripted series scheduled for global release in the latter half of 2026.
The selected titles reflect CJ ENM’s ongoing strategy to diversify its K-drama portfolio by blending traditional formats like romantic comedies with contemporary office sub-genres and realistic socio-economic premises.
Key programmatic slates and production details
The international sales push focuses on three specific intellectual properties, all currently in advanced stages of production:
My Bias, My Boss (Romance, Office): A live-action adaptation of the internationally popular webtoon My Oppa Is An Idol. The youth romantic comedy stars Kang Hoon, Kim Hye-jun, and Cha Woo-min. The narrative follows Nam Da-reum, an avid fan who secures employment at a fashion platform company linked to her long-time idol, Lee Chan. The plot complicates as she enters a strict work environment controlled by a demanding CEO, Kang Ha-gi, triggering a competitive love triangle that drives the show's tension.
The Ordinary Jackpot (Drama, Office): Led by actor Lee Jun-hyuk alongside Seo Hyun-woo and Oh Dae-hwan, this series explores a grounded variation of the lottery-win fantasy. The protagonist, Gong Eun-tae, a corporate worker experiencing severe professional burnout, wins a lottery prize that provides financial security but is insufficient to completely alter his socio-economic status. Rather than abandoning his career, he leverages the capital as emotional and financial insurance while maintaining his conventional office routine.
Make Me Tingle (Romance, Comedy): Starring Nam Ji-hyun and Kim Jae-young, this series explores themes of personal liberation and self-discovery. The plot centers on Yeon-su, a woman raised under a highly conservative and disciplined family structure, whose worldview is challenged when she becomes professionally entangled with an adult novelty company and its unconventional executive, Dokgo Dal.
Strategic positioning at BCM 2026
The unveiling of these titles at BCM underscores the strategic importance of the Busan-based market for launching content into Pan-Asian and Western streaming ecosystems. By presenting finished trailers and cast profiles during the three-day convention, CJ ENM aims to secure pre-sales licenses and co-distribution agreements with global over-the-top (OTT) platforms and regional television networks looking to capitalize on the sustained worldwide demand for premium Korean content.
