CJ ENM’s Dear X is captivating viewers Worldwide

Leading entertainment company CJ ENM’s latest TVING Original series Dear X has launched globally on major platforms, including HBO Max, Disney+, Rakuten Viki, and STARZPLAY, drawing enthusiastic responses from viewers across continents.

Produced by Studio Dragon, Dear X is a dark romance suspense drama that follows Baek Ah-jin, a seemingly flawless star whose ruthless and morally ambiguous choices weave a “brutal fairy tale” that blurs the line between love and manipulation.

During its first week on Rakuten Viki, Dear X entered the weekly Top 3 by viewership across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, and India, and notably ranked No. 1 in 108 countries, including the United States, Brazil, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, and India. In addition to that, based on the daily ranking from Disney+, Dear X ranked among the Top 3 on Disney+ in Japan

The series has also premiered in the MENA region via STARZPLAY, premiering simultaneously with Arabic subtitles, a first for a CJ ENM title, broadening access to premium K-dramas in local languages. On STARZPLAY, Dear X, reached the Top 5 in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Since its premiere, Dear X has become one of the top performing Asian titles to be streamed on HBO Max in 17 countries and regions in Asia Pacific - including Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, as shared by HBO Max

Domestically in Korea, Dear X has performed just as strongly, ranking No. 1 in paid subscription contribution among all TVING Originals and underscoring its growing influence in Korea’s OTT market.

According to the “FUNdex” report, provided by GoodData Corporation, the show has been ranked in the TOP 3 for the “TV-OTT BuzzWorthiness,” while entering 2nd place in the Drama BuzzWorthiness category. 

Following the undeniable uptrend of the series, the lead actress, “Kim You Jung,” ranked second in FUNdex’s Performer BuzzWorthiness category, further proving her outstanding performance in Dear X
