CJ ENM’s Global Format EXchange expands its footprint with new japanese season Streaming Exclusively on Prime Video from October 16

Leading Entertainment Company CJ ENM announced that the Japanese remake of its breakout dating reality format EXchange will return as Love Transit Season 3, streaming exclusively on Prime Video in Japan from Thursday, October 16 at 8:00 p.m. JST. The new season will comprise eight episodes, with Episodes 1–3 dropping in week one.

Originating in Korea as TVING’s hit reality dating series EXchange, the format invites five former couples—each with different relationship lengths, breakup timings, and reasons—to reunite and navigate unresolved feelings and new attractions over roughly a month of shared “staycation” life in one location. The result is an emotionally charged, character-driven journey that blends authenticity, romance, and unpredictable twists.

Season 3 of Love Transit features returning studio MCs Akira Kawashima (Kirin), Rino Sashihara, and Shinobu Hasegawa (Shisonnu), joined by new panelist Chiaki Horan. A newly released teaser hints at the franchise’s most intricately entangled relationship web to date, with the MCs reacting to the shifting “relationship arrows” as participants weigh second chances against brand-new connections.

'EXchange has become one of CJ ENM’s signature unscripted IPs because it spotlights honest emotions and the very human question of whether love deserves a second chance', said Sebastian Kim, VP of the International Content Business Department of CJ ENM. 'Seeing the format thrive in Japan as Love Transit reinforces its universal quality with young adult audiences. We’re excited for Season 3 to deepen the brand’s footprint and introduce even more viewers to the franchise'

Min Sun-hong, the Chief Content Officer(CCO) of TVING, said, “EXchange is one of TVING’s original IPs that has consistently received tremendous responses both in Korea and overseas. The launch of Season 3 in Japan once again highlights the strength of K-content, while also serving as a key opportunity to showcase the unique charm of EXchange to global audiences."

Meanwhile, EXchange is CJ ENM’s relationship reality format that reunites former couples to explore unfinished stories, jealousy, friendship, and growth—often leading to fresh romance or final closure. Launched as a TVING original in Korea, the show has built passionate fandoms across seasons and is expanding globally through local adaptations.
