Eccho Rights expands license agreements with The Walt Disney Company Across Portugal and MENA

The international distributor closed deals for Turkish dramas "Golden Boy" on STAR Life in Portugal and "My Home My Destiny" on Disney+ in the Middle East and North Africa.

International distributor Eccho Rights has concluded two new deals with The Walt Disney Company, licensing acclaimed Turkish drama series Golden Boy to STAR Life in Portugal and My Home My Destiny to Disney+ across the MENA region.

The agreements build on the partnership between Eccho Rights and The Walt Disney Company established earlier this year, when STAR Life Portugal acquired romantic comedy titles Everywhere I Go and My Sweet Lie - and mark a significant broadening of the relationship across both platform and territory.

Golden Boy (original title: Yalı Çapkını) is produced by OGM Pictures for Star TV. A ratings phenomenon in Turkey, the series follows a reckless young heir whose life is turned upside down by an arranged marriage, combining high-stakes family drama with sharp wit and a deeply compelling central romance.

My Home My Destiny (original title: Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir) is produced by OGM Pictures for TV8. A modern drama built around themes of identity, belonging and love, the series broke multiple ratings records on TV8 and has sold to over 150 territories worldwide.

Melis Hamamcioglu, Director of Digital Media Acquisition & Content Sales at Eccho Rights, commented: 'To be expanding our relationship with The Walt Disney Company across two of their platforms and into a new region in the space of a few months is a real marker of where Turkish drama sits today in the international market. The appetite among premium platforms for proven, emotionally driven content from Turkey is only growing, and we look forward to building on this further'.
