Edmar Moraes: Mantis-AI Acquires Futura Produções and Launches the Mantis Media Center
Mantis-AI has announced the acquisition of Futura Produções, a move that establishes the Mantis Media Center, a new business unit designed to integrate Tier-1 streaming infrastructure with advanced data intelligence technology. The transaction brings together Futura’s streaming and delivery infrastructure with Mantis-AI’s intelligence layer that converts video into structured data, enabling media companies to organize, operate, and monetize content at scale.
The new unit is already operational, as both companies had an existing partnership and had co-developed technologies prior to the acquisition. Mantis Media Center launches fully operational and ready for global deployment. Its unified solutions will be officially presented during NAB Show 2026, taking place from April 19 to 22 in Las Vegas.
Mantis-AI, which has raised approximately USD 50 million to date, continues to execute its structured growth strategy and is preparing for a new USD 65 million funding round involving both current and prospective investors.
According to Vinicius Gholmie, CEO of Mantis-AI, the acquisition marks a new phase in the media industry. 'By acquiring Futura Produções, Mantis-AI is entering a new stage. Video is one of the most valuable assets in media today, yet it remains largely unstructured for ongoing value creation. By integrating Mantis-AI’s intelligence layer with Futura’s infrastructure, we are moving toward transforming video into a more accessible, operational, and monetizable asset'.
Gholmie added: 'Mantis Media Center reinforces our belief that all content holds long-term value waiting to be unlocked. We are shaping the new media infrastructure standard for the next decade'.
For Alexandre Zarich, CEO of Futura Produções, the acquisition reflects a shared technological vision between the two companies. 'We spent years refining video reliability and delivery at Futura, but we always knew the industry’s next leap would not be just about how content is delivered, but about what that content communicates in real time'.
Zarich added: 'The union with Mantis-AI extends the reach of our streaming engine by adding an intelligence layer that turns video into structured, actionable data. This integration transforms video into a manageable, context-driven asset, creating a solid technological foundation for the future of content distribution and monetization'.
As part of the integration, the companies have established a dedicated business unit under the leadership of Edmar Moraes, who will oversee the global expansion of Mantis Media Center.
Moraes brings extensive experience in video infrastructure and international operations, with previous roles at Nagra, Cisco, Kaltura, and SES. After building a successful corporate career, he became an investor in Futura Produções, where he led the company’s growth across Brazil and Latin America.
Now, with the company integrated into Mantis-AI, Moraes assumes responsibility for scaling the new division internationally.
'By integrating our streaming engine with Mantis’ intelligence layer, we are creating a platform that does more than just transmit pixels—it understands the context of every frame. This fusion follows a uniquely forward-looking approach: we are transforming passive video files into assets that generate continuous value, connecting data, operations, and monetization within a single foundation. With Mantis Media Center, we deliver future-ready infrastructure where AI is not an add-on, but the backbone of the entire content journey', he said.
Mantis-AI positions itself as a pioneer in video intelligence, transforming audiovisual files into structured, synchronized data that enables media and entertainment companies to improve operations, scale distribution, validate sponsorships, and unlock new revenue streams without changing their existing workflows.
