GMA: Miguel Tanfelix is launching his own show as a solo host with Planet XP

Actor Miguel Tanfelix is embarking on a new chapter in his career as he takes on his first solo presenting role in Planet XP, an infotainment magazine programme premiering on 2 May on GMA Network.

The five-episode series is the result of a collaboration between GMA and the National Council for Children’s Television, with support from the NEFCTV 2024 fund. Inspired by the gaming concept of XP (Experience Points), the programme offers a journey of personal growth through real-life experiences in the great outdoors.

Throughout the series, Tanfelix immerses herself in different regions of the Philippines, facing challenges such as mountaineering, navigation and extreme weather conditions. But at the heart of the format lies her connection with local communities: from the Dumagat in Bulacan to weavers, farmers and emerging athletes across various provinces.

The show also features Tammy Tamaraw, an animated character who introduces the audience to the country’s animal world. With an educational focus, Planet XP tackles topics such as travel safety, the environment and local culture, establishing itself as a family-friendly programme that encourages exploration and care for the environment.
