International entertainment executive Vivian (Xiaowei) Yin today announced the launch of Y+X Entertainment Group, a next-generation creative enterprise dedicated to reshaping how stories come to life and how they resonate across cultures, formats, and experiences in a rapidly shifting global landscape. Yin is Founder and CEO of Y+X Entertainment Group.

Yin, twice named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s “Most Powerful Women in Global Media,” previously served as CEO of FremantleMedia China, overseeing major formats such as The X Factor and Got Talent. Earlier, as SVP & Executive Producer at Star China, she played a key role in turning The Voice of China into the nation’s top-rated prime-time show for several consecutive years. Yin is also the creator of China’s first original singing format, Sing My Song, which has successfully travelled internationally. Her career has made her a sought-after speaker at leading industry forums, including MIPCOM, Realscreen, Asia TV Forum, and others.

Beyond the Screen — A New Vision for Entertainment

Following her tenure in television, Yin spent several years exploring the intersections of entertainment, cultural tourism, and immersive experiences across Asia and beyond. This journey outside the traditional media bubble gave her a unique perspective on how audiences increasingly seek entertainment that transcends screens and becomes part of real-life, transformative experiences.

'Entertainment has long existed in a beautiful cocoon, focused on screens and formats. But audiences today crave stories that connect emotionally and extend across every facet of their lives', said Yin. 'With Y+X, I want to build bridges — between East and West, between media formats, and ultimately between art and the human spirit'.
