Glookast introduces major workflow innovations and reimagined user experience at NAB Show 2026
The developer unveils a comprehensive suite of updates including social media connectors, a native Adobe Premiere Pro UXP panel, and Cinnafilm Tachyon integration to streamline intelligent automation across professional media environments.Glookast, a prominent developer of intelligent workflow automation tools for the broadcast and entertainment sectors, has announced a significant series of product advancements during the NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas. These innovations are led by a complete redesign of the Media Producer user experience, alongside the introduction of specialized connectors for YouTube and social media platforms that function as both ingest sources and publishing destinations. The company is also debuting a native Adobe Premiere Pro panel leveraging the modern UXP framework, a Cinnafilm Tachyon plugin for advanced video processing, and enhanced control capabilities via the Open Control Interface Protocol (OCIP). According to Matt Silva, CEO of Glookast, the current momentum of the engineering team reflects a commitment to customer adoption and reliability, noting that the developments showcased at the event represent only a portion of the company's robust product pipeline.
The centerpiece of these updates, Media Producer 26.4, features a reimagined interface designed for modern production demands, incorporating configurable per-user dashboards and an integrated workflow management system. This redesign unifies ingest, watch folder automation, and asset-triggered workflows into a single interface, providing operators with real-time visibility and faster access to critical actions. Complementing this, the new YouTube and social media connectors bridge the gap between professional production and digital distribution, allowing teams to move content fluidly between broadcast environments and social platforms. Furthermore, the introduction of the Adobe Premiere Pro panel allows editors to access the Media Producer asset library and ingest capabilities directly within their workspace, significantly reducing the time required to move assets to the timeline.
Technical enhancements continue with the integration of the Cinnafilm Tachyon video processing engine, which provides world-class standards and frame rate conversion directly within Media Producer transcoding workflows. This system features an intelligent optimization mode that automatically adjusts for speed and low latency in live contexts, or maximum quality in file-based environments. Additionally, Glookast has introduced loop recording for Scheduler, enabling a continuous capture buffer for compliance and monitoring, and a native macOS client for Media Producer and Media Services. This expansion allows facilities operating on Apple hardware to deploy Glookast stacks seamlessly. All announced product versions are scheduled for official release immediately following the NAB Show, with live demonstrations currently taking place at Booth W1661.
