Rocío Fressone, Head of Business Development & Co-Production, said: ‘In recent years, we have been pushing for the internationalization of our company, and this deal is the result of those efforts. We believe in alliances with local and regional players, and in creating content from Argentina that resonates globally. The future of content is to be ‘language-agnostic’ focused on audiences that seek stories rather than language’.
Agustina Amiel, International Content & Business Executive, added: From the International Partnerships department, we aim to find new destinations for our in-house productions. This first agreement through VLG for our dramedy series definitely represents a milestone for us’.
The companies have been negotiating since August 2022 for the distribution of the series, co-produced by Kapow and Grupo Octubre, and simultaneously premiered on Amazon Prime Video (USA and Latin America) and Canal 9 (Argentina). This represents the very first major agreement driven by the International Partnerships department of the Argentine production company.
