MasterChef México reinvents the format

EndemolShine Boomdog, part of Banijay Americas, is taking MasterChef into uncharted territory with the launch of MasterChef México 24/7, the first-ever live 24/7 version of the global culinary franchise. The new format premieres on May 17 on TV Azteca, combining linear television, continuous streaming on Disney+, and an expanded digital ecosystem designed to deepen audience engagement.

For the first time in the franchise’s history, contestants will live, train and compete under one roof, giving viewers round-the-clock access to the full competition process. Beyond traditional episodes, audiences will be able to follow training sessions, technical lessons, team challenges and judges’ deliberations in real time.

TV Azteca will air live programming six days a week, including two-hour primetime episodes from Monday to Friday and a three-hour Sunday elimination special. Daily challenges will feature classic elements such as the Mystery Box, pressure tests and team competitions.

Hosted by Claudia Lizaldi, the show also features judges Chef Adrián Herrera, Chef Zahie Téllez and Chef Poncho Cadena, alongside guest chefs specializing in traditional Mexican cuisine and contemporary gastronomy.

With more than 70 local adaptations and over 700 seasons worldwide, MasterChef continues to evolve. EndemolShine Boomdog believes this new model could redefine how global entertainment formats expand across platforms.
