Nuevos Medios Producciones signs a worldwide distribution agreement with Instant Video Cloud

Branded OTT platforms in record time, with no code and no onboarding fees, across web, mobile and connected TVs

Nuevos Medios Producciones, a media consulting company operating in Colombia, the United States and Spain, announced at the opening of MIPCOM a worldwide distribution agreement with Instant Video Cloud (IVC), a video cloud that enables broadcasters, production companies, media outlets and corporations of any size to launch their own OTT platform in record time, with no technical knowledge required. Clients can deliver live channels, video on demand or vertical micro-content to web, mobile and connected TVs under their own brand.

In a digital-first market, launching an OTT service typically takes months of implementation, development teams and a dozen vendors. IVC replaces that puzzle with a single video cloud, with no onboarding cost and no infrastructure to build.

'For years, having an OTT service on viewers’ TV screens was a privilege reserved for large media groups. With IVC, a regional channel, an independent production company or a corporate media outlet can be on Samsung, LG, Philips, Google TV or Fire TV under its own brand, in record time and without knowing how to code. We are not looking to replace the television these channels already make, but to multiply their screens and their revenue', said Juan Pablo Morales Sarmiento, co-founder and Vice President for Europe at Nuevos Medios Producciones.

Apps are deployed through already-authorized distribution environments, so channels do not have to seek approval from each app store on their own. From a single platform, content reaches web browsers, mobile apps, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV and Samsung, LG and Philips smart TVs, with Chromecast, AirPlay and EPG support. The platform also includes ad-server monetization, multi-CDN delivery with adaptive streaming, audience analytics, live clipping and simultaneous restreaming to social media.

'Our value doesn’t end with the technology. We support each channel in content strategy, production, live streaming and sales, so that its OTT becomes a sustainable business. With this agreement, we can bring that model to channels anywhere in the world',  added Morales.

Instant Video Cloud is sold as a platform as a service (PaaS) on a monthly subscription that scales with each client’s traffic and storage. It is designed for regional and local channels, independent producers, digital media, universities, public entities and companies. Nuevos Medios Producciones is scheduling meetings about the platform at MIPCOM, MIP Cancún and Content Americas.
