SBT celebrates with new programming and renovated identity
SBT (Brazil) is celebrating its 30 anniversary, with a renovated visual identity and exposure which includes a new slogan and image the growth of its ratings levels, and a modern and diversified programming grid.In this context, the Brazilian Museum of Belas Artes (muBa) is launching this month the exhibition SBT 30 years, which will bring an unpublished archive together with the best moments of the network, both in video and picture, besides original clothing, customes and backstage curiosities to the public.
SBT’s programming for its 30th year includes new shows, hightlighting Solitary-the second season, a reality show about a confinement of participants under the command of the authoritarian voice. Also, the debut of Cantando no SBT, season two, a fun and fresh singing competition hosted by Yudi Tamashiro, Priscilla Alcântara and Afonso Nigro as a member of the jury.
It presents talent shows such as Se Ela Dança, Eu Danço, and a reality with the counselor and a sexual therapist, Ana Canosa who turns any situation around in SOS Casamento as she tries to solve problems that married couples may face after a couple of years of marriage. Psychiatrist Jairo Bouer and image consultant Alana Rodrigues are experts in Esquadrão do Amor. Other show that have their debut this year is drama Amor e Revolução.
This year the channel is announcing new journalistic products, such as the transmission of SBT Folia and also, it became the official broadcaster of Carnaval in Salvador (Bahia), the biggest celebration on the planet, in partnership with TV Aratu, which hasmobilized a team of over 500 professionals as they captured every moment in 100% HD recordings.
Special programs are also prepared for the 30th anniversary of SBT. Since May this year,
Festival 30 anos, is hosted by Patrícia Abravanel, who is making her debut on television, the program shows the best and funniest moments of the past three decades of SBT.
HD technology
SBT announced that 64% of programming grid is filled with products produced by the network itself, which comes to around 16 hours per day in local productions in Brazil at Television Center at Anhanguera.
Moreover, digital production sums up to 109 hours a week, meaning that 26,5 hours per week are in HD and live programming occupy around 28,6% of the programming grid. For the implementation of digital transmission in Brazil, SBT invested over 12 million dolars, being the first and only network in the country to develop and transmit interactivity 24 hours per day.
