Something Special's Unforgettable Duet options to Switzerland and secures season two renewal in Korea

Something Special, the number one independent Seoul-based international Format agency CEO, Founder & Executive Producer Jin Woo Hwang & InSoon Kim, Co-CEO/Chief Business Officer have announced that Switzerland’s OCCAM Productions has optioned their hit show Unforgettable Duet for Switzerland, and Season 2 of the series has just been confirmed for broadcast during Primetime on MBN in Korea for the end of October - exact date to be announced shortly.

World Alzheimer’s Day is observed globally every year on September 21 to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Unforgettable Duet is an emotional original unscripted series following dementia patients their family members on a journey to remember. A celebrity host and panel featuring a diverse group of beloved Korean entertainers whose deep musical insight and heartfelt reactions help guide viewers through each family’s emotional journey. Each episode is guided by a different renowned Korean singer termed the “Memory Singer” who takes the family member and patient on a trip down memory lane. The dementia patient sings a duet with their family member and then the Memory Singer performs a heartfelt tribute song that captures their personal experience.

Season 2 will also introduce the use of AI technology to transform the protagonists past photographs into moving images, using innovation not simply as a production tool, but as a meaningful way to help families reconnect with cherished memories.
