TAICCA | Major Sponsors from the US, France & South Korea

04-07-2025
The Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) is set to host the 2025 Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) from November 4 to 7. Submissions for the TCCF PITCHING section are now in the final countdown phase and will close at 12:00PM (Taiwan time) on July 11.

In recognition of the cross-border potential generated by TCCF, many world-class organizations are stepping up to sponsor awards this year. These include the US-based nonprofit Gold House, Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival, the South Korea-headquartered global content investor Blintn, France’s Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC), and Busan’s Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM).

Along with new awards and generous cash prizes established by superstar LIN ChiLing, plus more awards and resources provided by several Taiwanese city and county governments as well as agencies, the total prize pool is set to exceed TWD 8 million (approximately USD 275,000). The aim is to attract even more high-quality, marketable projects with global appeal, expanding opportunities for international co-production and co-development, investment, sales, and distribution.

World-Class Organizations Join the Fest
Largest Prize “TAICCA x CNC Award” Offers USD 30,000

With TCCF continuing to draw attention and recognition from the global market, more and more world-class organizations are signing on to sponsor dedicated awards and provide industry resources in the hopes of discovering projects with the strongest international market potential. Among the most anticipated is Gold House, the influential US-based nonprofit representing the interests of the Asian and Pacific Islander community worldwide. Their “Gold House Distinction Award” includes a complimentary lifetime membership, offering the winning team amazing benefits such as access to global funding, networking opportunities, and professional consulting services.

Another first-time participant that has long focused on the Asian market is the Red Sea International Film Festival from Saudi Arabia, which is sponsoring a TWD 300,000 prize (approximately USD 10,500) for the Feature Film pitch session of the “Project” segment. Meanwhile, Busan’s ACFM will offer the opportunity for  fast-track access to its market event. Furthermore, Blintn, the global content investor based in South Korea that recently signed an MOU with TAICCA, has significantly increased its prize from TWD 100,000 (approximately USD 3,500) to TWD 300,000 (approximately USD 10,500) this year, demonstrating TCCF’s rising importance and recognition.

The largest prize in this year’s TCCF PITCHING’s “Project” segment is the USD 30,000 “TAICCA x CNC Award,” jointly established by TAICCA and France’s CNC. The largest prize in the “Story” segment is valued at TWD 300,000 (approximately USD 10,500) and is provided by TAICCA.

LIN ChiLing Debuts Generous New Prizes to Advocate for Women’s Issues

This year’s most eye-catching addition is a new award series established by internationally renowned model and actress LIN ChiLing. Designated for the Feature Film, Animation, and Documentary sessions, the “ChiLing’s Future Makers Award - Feature Film”, “ChiLing’s Future Makers Award - Animation”, and “ChiLing’s Future Makers Award - Documentary” each offer a TWD 500,000 prize (approximately USD 17,200), for a total of TWD 1.5 million (approximately USD 51,600). With a focus on encouraging original content centered around women’s issues, these awards aim to attract greater participation from outstanding creators.

Public Institutions and City and County Governments Support Original Content Trend

Apart from foreign companies and organizations, Taiwan’s city and county governments and public agencies are also joining the ranks by sponsoring awards to uncover promising projects. The Chiayi City Cultural Affairs Bureau is participating for the first time by offering a TWD 300,000 (approximately USD 10,500) prize, while the Film Assist Center of Chiayi City will provide funding support for location scouting in Chiayi to all teams selected under the Feature Film and Series pitch sessions.

The Kaohsiung Film Archive continues to support TCCF through its TWD 300,000 (approximately USD 10,500) “KFA Original Award”, while the Taipei Film Commission will once again provide TWD 300,000 (approximately USD 10,500) in prize money for the Feature Film session of the “Project” segment.

Taiwan’s domestic industry partners are equally enthusiastic in supporting original content. Far EasTone Telecommunications, continuing its involvement from last year, will once again offer a TWD 300,000 (approximately USD 10,500) prize for the “Story” segment pitch sessions. Additional sponsors for the “Story” pitch sessions include SHOEI CONTENT CORP., a company dedicated to developing Taiwanese IPs, as well as Sanlih E-Television, Gala Television, and first-time sponsor Good Image, each will provide an award with a cash prize of TWD 100,000 (approximately USD 3,500). Meanwhile, TVBS, Eastern Broadcasting Company, and Videoland Television are each sponsoring a TWD 300,000 (approximately USD 10,500) award for the Series pitch session. Lastly, apart from providing TWD 300,000 (approximately USD 10,500) in prize money for the Series pitch session, Taiwan Mobile will also be scouting talent through the selection process and offering the winners an opportunity to access resources from its “Commercial Content Creation Talent Program.”

TAICCA Chairperson Sue WANG noted that the TCCF serves as a key platform for connecting Taiwanese cultural content with the global industry. Its pitch sessions, in particular, always bring rich creative energy and projects with international potential, she said, adding that she hopes the event can provide Taiwanese content creators and industry professionals with a gateway to the global market, so that Taiwan’s stories can be heard by more people and seen around the world.
