TAICCA strengthens its international strategy at Series Mania

26-03-2026
The Series Mania Forum officially opened on March 24 in Lille, France, bringing together key players from the global television industry. Within this context, the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) once again positions Taiwan as an active partner in the international market, this year with an expanded presence and a renewed strategic focus.

Led by CEO Erica Wang, TAICCA arrived with a delegation of 31 Taiwanese audiovisual companies and the TAIWAN SERIES pavilion, where 49 projects are being showcased to international buyers, producers, and platforms. The selection spans multiple genres —from crime and social drama to romance and period productions— highlighting both original creations and cross-media adaptations, with a clear aim: to further integrate Taiwanese content into the global audiovisual supply chain.

Beyond the market showcase, TAICCA is taking a step forward in its internationalization strategy by upgrading its pitching platform. What was previously focused exclusively on Taiwanese projects is now evolving into the “Asia Co-Pro Pitch by TAICCA”, opening the door to collaborations across the region. This shift reflects a broader vision of positioning Taiwan not only as a content producer, but also as a hub for Asian co-productions.

A key element of this new phase is the launch of the Serial Bridges Asia Award, created to recognize projects with strong international potential. The award will be granted by a jury composed of European production and distribution experts, who will evaluate participating projects from a global market perspective. In addition to industry consultation opportunities, the winning project will be eligible to apply for TAICCA’s Creative Content Development Program, with access to early-stage development funding of up to approximately USD 60,000.
