TBS Holdings Inc. announces Strategic Alliance with Viet Nam Television to revive SASUKE VIET NAM and Co-Develop New Content

The alliance was formally announced on Sunday, September 7, at a ceremony in Hanoi commemorating the 55th anniversary of the First Television Broadcast of Viet Nam Television.

TBS Holdings, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & Chief Executive Officer: Ryujiro Abe)  has announced a strategic alliance with Viet Nam Television (VTV), Viet nam's national broadcaster. The  alliance was formally announced on Sunday, September 7, at a ceremony in Hanoi commemorating the  55th anniversary of the First Television Broadcast of Viet Nam Television. 

This alliance will further develop the cooperative relationship between the two companies, starting  with the revival of “Không GiớiHạn - Sasuke Việt Nam" the Vietnamese adaptation of TBS's renowned  show “SASUKE," coming back for the first time in 7 years and the support of the distribution of Vietnam  Todayʼs content on platforms in Japan. 

Moving forward, the two companies plan to deepen their collaboration in a wide range of areas,  including the broadcasting and distribution of each other's content in both countries, remaking TBS  dramas, and co-developing new content.  

Additionally, to foster talent exchange within the content industry, they also seek to launch joint  initiatives through seminars and workshops.  
Through this alliance, TBS and VTV will further energize cultural and entertainment exchange between  Japan and Viet Nam, while pioneering new content for the Asian region and the global market. 

History of TBS and VTV  
TBS Television and Viet Nam Television (VTV) have been engaged in a wide range of program  production and broadcasting collaborations since they signed a partnership agreement in 2012. In 2013,  as a project for the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Viet Nam, they co produced the drama “The Partner: To My Dear Friend of 100 Years ", which was broadcast on the same  day in both countries. Since then, they have deepened cultural exchange through continuous broadcasts 

of Japanese dramas on VTV, such as the “TBS Drama Festival" and “Japan Drama Hour." In 2015, they  co-produced a Vietnamese version of the popular TBS drama “Midnight Sun" and co-produced the TBSʼs  renowned sports entertainment program “Không GiớiHạn - Sasuke Việt Nam". Since 2016, they have  continued to share information on tourism, food, and culture through the “SẮC MÀU NHẬT BẢN (The  Colors of Japan)" series, which introduces the charms of various regions in Japan. They have also built a  partnership that goes beyond program production, such as VTV's cooperation in "DigiCon6 Asia," a  project to discover video creators. Going forward, the two companies will continue to serve as a bridge  for cultural exchange between Japan and Viet Nam through broadcast content, delivering the unique  culture and appeal of both nations to a global audience.
