TVING is the premier K-content streaming platform in Korea, offering an unparalleled selection of  content accessible anytime, anywhere. From hit dramas and variety shows on tvN and JTBC, to an  extensive library of TVING original series and films spanning diverse themes, genres, and scales, plus a  wide range of sports, TVING has it all.

Furthermore, Love is for the Dogs will stream on U-NEXT in Japan, as well as on Max internationally  (outside of Japan and Korea), as part of a wider partnership between U-NEXT and Warner Bros. Discovery. The companies previously announced the international distribution of select premium  Japanese drama series on Max later this year, including in the United States, Brazil, and Southeast Asia.

Keore Kim of STUDIO DRAGON, Shingo Okamoto of TBS and Magdalene Ew of Max have shared the  following comments regarding this initiative:

Keore Kim, Producer, STUDIO DRAGON:  We are incredibly pleased that this production will be seen by audiences not only in Japan and Korea but  across the entire world. Through the filming process, we are learning daily about the differences in  production methods between Korea and Japan. We feel this is a valuable experience, made possible  precisely because it's a co-production with TBS, which actively disseminates various IPs globally. “Love is for the Dogs” is a new endeavor for us; we hope that many people in various countries will enjoy  it.

Shingo Okamoto, Director, TBS:  'We believe the central theme of this work—that people tend to overcomplicate love, but the dogs in the  story remind us that love can, and perhaps should, be simple—along with their inherent cuteness,  resonates universally across cultures. In that regard, we believe this production will achieve global  empathy. While there are cultural differences between Japan and Korea, we've found common ground in  the creative process, frequently agreeing on what makes a good piece. Through this drama, we truly felt  there's no difference when it comes to delivering "emotion" to the audience. We sincerely hope that “Love is for the Dogs” reaches and is enjoyed by many people through TVING  and Max'.

Magdalene Ew, Head of Content, Streaming, APAC at Warner Bros. Discovery: 'With universal appeal and an impressive cast, this collaboration between TBS and STUDIO DRAGON  is a highlight in the Japanese drama collection coming to Max later this year. Through our partnership  with U-NEXT, we look forward to bringing these homegrown stories to audiences worldwide'.

The original story of this work comes from “DOG한 로맨스”(also written as ”Dog한 로맨스”),a  production by Studio TooN which is a company TBS established in Korea.  The Japanese version of this work began serialization on LINE Manga starting May 5, 2025.
