Partnership marks new chapter in Japan–Vietnam cultural and content collaboration.

TBS Holdings Inc and Viet Nam Television, the country’s national broadcaster, have announced a strategic alliance to strengthen cooperation in content creation and distribution. The agreement was unveiled on September 7 in Hanoi during the ceremony commemorating the 55th anniversary of VTV’s first broadcast.

The alliance begins with the long-awaited revival of Không Giới Hạn – Sasuke Việt Nam, the local adaptation of TBS’s globally renowned SASUKE format, returning after seven years. The collaboration will also expand the distribution of Vietnamese content in Japan and vice versa, including the remake of TBS dramas and the co-development of new formats.

Looking ahead, TBS and VTV will also promote talent exchange through joint seminars and workshops, reinforcing their role as cultural bridges between Japan and Vietnam while creating content for audiences across Asia and the world.

The partnership builds on more than a decade of collaboration that began in 2012, including joint productions such as The Partner: To My Dear Friend of 100 Years and the Vietnamese version of Midnight Sun. Both broadcasters have also promoted Japanese culture through The Colors of Japan series and co-produced Sasuke Việt Nam.

‘This alliance will deliver inspiration and joy to audiences worldwide’, said TBS CEO Ryujiro AbeVTV President Nguyen Thanh Lam emphasized that the partnership ‘opens new opportunities for development and deepens the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and Japan’.
