The History Channel Japan to broadcast highly-anticipated original production Tokyo Legacy
The History Channel Japan announced the global premiere of its highly-anticipated local original production, Tokyo Legacy , that will be aired across 20 Asian markets on December 20, 2020.The new factual show is directed by Emmy award-winning Director, Chris Humphrey, and charts the history of Tokyo’s transformation and evolution from the post-war 40s to present day, with a myriad of perspectives from interviews with key opinion leaders including international scholars, researchers, historians, sociologists, economists and journalists of various nationalities. The production includes valuable and archive footage, featuring poignant testimonies of the sights and sounds of the old Tokyo that only those who were there at that time to witness to the post-war lows could understand.
