UniFrance: now Cinema and TV are together, stronger

11-04-2022
UniFrance the new French public association generated by the merger of the former different media entities of France, has organized at MIPTV its traditional Tuesday afternoon cocktail, with very good presence of international broadcasters and French producers. It was held at a new stand of the Palais of Festivales in Cannes, with a terrace facing the sea and more central location.

Michel Hervé, vice president, Unifrance: ‘We are very pleased with our new situation, because we represent not only the TV business, but also the cinema segment. They provide together an overall view and more opportunities of exposure and synergies. For traditional French producers, there are more tools and services to make their projects better’.

Sarah Hemar and Daniela Elstner, executive directors: ‘The new UniFrance continues making strong focus on co-production models, alliances with producer associations of other big markets and to attract good partners to French companies in general. Today there are a lot of opportunities with OTT platforms, any region, so a priority is to get in touch with them and to generate networking’.

‘French content nowadays is a referent both in scripted and unscripted, with particular development of factual and documentaries, animation, but also drama and entertainment formats. TV series and films. There is an integral scope’.
