Winsing Animation bets on GG Bond with new releases

31-03-2026
Winsing is releasing a film and a new series almost simultaneously.

Winsing Animation is gearing up for a pivotal 2026 for GG Bond, its best-known franchise, with a campaign combining cinema and television set to launch within weeks. The strategy aims to expand the character’s reach through a coordinated release that strengthens his presence across various platforms.

Firstly, on 1 May, GG Bond: Race Through Time, the eleventh film in the series, will hit Chinese cinemas. This time, the story adds a sci-fi twist to the racing universe, taking GG Bond and Star Navi on a race through time. The film blends action, humour and excitement, whilst maintaining a focus on classic values such as friendship and personal growth.

Earlier, on 2 April, GG Bond: Kung Fu Heroes Season 2 will premiere, continuing the storyline of the revamped martial arts series. The new season features a significant visual upgrade, with more dynamic fight scenes, new settings and the introduction of mechas that expand the narrative universe. The launch will be widespread, with the series available on digital platforms, television and OTT services across the country.

With over twenty years on screen, GG Bond demonstrates its ability to adapt. This double premiere not only aims to maintain its popularity in China, but also to open new doors in the international market, where Winsing is already exploring partnerships to bring the content to more territories.
