GG Bond celebrates 20 years with new film

Winsing Animation has confirmed that I Am Bond GG Bond, the 20th anniversary feature film of the iconic GG Bond franchise, will premiere in theaters across China on October 1, 2025.

Marking the 10th theatrical title in the saga, the film departs from its child-focused roots to embrace all-ages storytelling. It revisits the humor of the original GG Bond while blending fresh themes that resonate with multiple generations. The plot follows GG Bond as a once-famous actor facing setbacks before staging a comeback, mixing slapstick comedy with reflections on career pressure, resilience, and intergenerational understanding.

According to Vice President and Film Director Lu Jinming, the two-year production 'represents a breakthrough in positioning, themes, and production quality', reaffirming GG Bond’s role as a cultural touchstone. Producer Huang Long highlighted that the brand is now a full-scale IP ecosystem, spanning content, consumer products, and cultural experiences.

Alongside the film’s release, Winsing will showcase its latest projects at TIFFCOM 2025, including GOGOBUS S17: Space Trip (premiering September 25) and a theatrical spin-off of the Racing TV series slated for 2026. With these titles, Winsing underscores its commitment to creating animation that entertains families worldwide while expanding its global partnerships.
